As per the circular, the registration fee for a motorcycle with the engine capacity of 100cc or less will be Tk 2,000 instead of Tk 4,200.
The registration fee for a motorcycle with engine capacity of more than 100cc will be Tk 3,000, instead of previous rate of Tk 5,600 from now, it also says.
The new rates will be effective immediately, it also says.
The Bangladesh Road Transport Authority statistics shows that the number of registered motorcycles in the country is 31.25 lakh at the end of December last year.
