The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) informed that some 3.28 lakh people got registered to receive vaccine until 2:30 pm on February 6.
Public representatives took first jab of vaccine to inaugurate the programme at the district level.
Besides, government officials, civil surgeons, physicians, health workers, freedom fighters, journalists and senior citizens also received vaccines.
In Savar, Major General Shaheenul Haque, General Officer Commanding (GOC) 9th Infantry Division & Area Commander, Savar Area, got their first shots of vaccine.
A total of 100 members of Bangladesh Army took a dose of vaccine on the first day.
The vaccination program was inaugurated at Savar CMH Hospital around 9:30am today.
In Manikganj, vaccine campaign began in nine centres in this district today.
Deputy Commissioner SM Ferdous, Police Super Rifat Rahman Shamim and Civil Surgeon Anwarul Amin Akhand took a dose of COVID vaccine around 10:45am in Nursing College centre, reports our district correspondent.
Some 1,860 people got registered to take the vaccine here.
In Feni, district civil surgeon Dr Mir Mobarak Hossain and additional deputy commissioner inoculated the vaccine around 10:30am.
Civil surgeon said he was the first to receive the vaccine in order to encourage people to take the vaccine.
In Laxmipur, civil surgeon and Sadar Hospital administrator Dr Abdul Gaffar inaugurated the vaccine programme by taking vaccine around 10:30am while DC Anwar Hossain Akanda also got vaccinated.
Some 8,000 people will be inoculated in the district in the first phase.
In Rangamati, a total of 40 people were vaccinated on the first day of COVID vaccination programme at Rangamati Sadar Hospital.
The vaccination would be continued at 10 upazila health complexes in the district, reports our district correspondent.
In Panchagarh, vaccinating program has been inaugurated with DC Sabina Yasmin taking the first shot of vaccine.
Some 370 people were vaccinated on the first day in five centres in the district.
People can get register for taking vaccine in the centres, said Civil Surgeon Dr Md Fazlur Rahman.
In Joypurhat, vaccination program inaugurated at District Adhunik Hospital premise with the hospital administrator Dr.Sardar Rashed Mobarak receiving the first jab of vaccine.
Around 3,000 people got registered to take the vaccine here.
The vaccination programme will held from 8am to 2pm every day.
In Sherpur,Jatiya Sangsad Whip Atiur Rahman Atik MP inaugurated the COVID vaccination campaign here, reports our district correspondent.
Some 200 people will be vaccinated here while a total of 1,600 have got registered for taking vaccine, said Civil Surgeon AKM Anwarur Rauf.
ATM Ziaul Islam, deputy director of Local Government Division, received the first dose of coronavirus vaccine in this district.

A total of 24,000 people will be vaccinated in Narail.
In Pirojpur, vaccination programme began around 10am at the district hospital.
DC Abu Ali Md Sajjad Hossain and civil surgeon Dr Hasanaat Yousuf Zaki were present during the programme.
In Jashore, Kazi Nabil Ahmed MP from Jashore-3 constituency received his first dose of vaccine at Jashore General Hospital around 11:30am.
Civil Surgeon Dr Sheikh Abu Shahin said a total of 5,471 people got registered to take the vaccine till Saturday evening.
Some 33 medical teams will conduct the vaccination programme at 11 centres in the district.
In Habiganj, Advocate Abu Zahir, the lawmaker from Habiganj 3 constituency, inaugurated the programme around 11:30am at Sadar Adhunik Hospital taking the first shot of vaccine followed by DC Mohammad Kamrul Hasan.
District civil surgeon Dr Mukhlesur Rahman Uzzal said 2,346 people got registered to receive vaccine till Saturday.
Earlier on January 27, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina launched the COVID-19 vaccination programme at Kurmitola General Hospital through a videoconference.
