Online desk ; A drug peddler was arrested by Detective Branch (DB) along with Yaba pills at Sadar upazila in Rajshahi district on Sunday evening.
The arrested was Azizul Hakim Akash, 20, son of Amirul Islam, a resident of Shibganj upazila of Chapainawabganj district.
Rajshahi Metropolitan Police official Rafiqul Alam said in a press release that on a tip-off, members of Rajshahi DB police conducted a special drive at Belpukur Bypass area and arrested him along with 780 Yaba pills.
Later, he was handed over to Belpukur Police Station.
A case was filed against him under Narcotics Control Act with the police station, the official added.
