Online Desk : The sale of advance train tickets for the upcoming holy Eid-ul-Fitr will begin online tomorrow.
Passengers will be able to purchase the tickets for 17, 18, 19, 20 and 21 April on 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11 April respectively, said a press release of the Ministry of Railways.
On the other hand, the return tickets of 25-30 April will be sold from 15 to 20 April.
Cent percent railway tickets will be available online, said the ministry.
The railway tickets can be bought through “Rail Sheba” mobile app alongside SMS through verification of the National Identity Card, passport and birth certificate.
On the occasion of the Eid-ul Fitr, the operation of cross-border train ‘Mitali Express’ will remain suspended from 18 to 27 April while ‘Maitri Express’ from 20 to 27 April.
However, the cross-border ‘Bandhan Express’ will run as usual.
Starting from 17th April to the day before Eid, the Dhaka-bound Ekota, Panchagarh, Nilsagor, Kurigram, Lalmoni and Rangpur Express trains won’t have a break at Dhaka Airport Station, the release added.
