Online Desk : Detective Branch of Police (DB) has arrested two alleged drug peddlers along with 38 bottles of liquor from Nalitabari upazila in Sherpur district on Saturday afternoon.
The arrested are Hazrat Ali, 30, a resident of Kalakuma Purbapara village in the upazila and Abdullah, 28, Pathalia Nawbhanga village in Jamalpur Sadar upazila.
Sherpur Detective Branch of police officer-in-charge Mushfiqur Rahman said acting on a tip-off, a team of DB police conducted a raid in Nijpara area of the upazila and arrested the duo along with the drugs.
A case was filed with concerned police station against them under Narcotics Control Act, the OC added.
